- The dataset on the content of preferential trade agreements (PTAs) maps 52 provisions in 279 PTAs notified at WTO signed between 1958 and 2015. It also includes information about legal enforceability of each provision. The âTrade Agreementsâ file lists all the agreements available (279) with the coding of 52 provisions. The name and description of all variables is listed in the âread meâ sheet. The âread meâ sheet also explain the coding of legal enforceability. The âBilateral Observationsâ file is a bilateral version of the dataset. Each observation is a country pair-year-agreement. Notice that some country-pairs appear multiple times in certain years if they have more than one agreement in force in that year. For example Angola and DRC in 2000 were in COMESA and SADC. The variables are the same as in the excel files. Important notice: The Bilateral Observations file excludes Partial Scope Agreements (PSA).

- âA Toolkit for Informality Scenario Analysisâ is a spreadsheet-based toolkit that allows researchers and practitioners to project the size of formal and informal labor in almost 100 countries yearly until 2030. The projections are based on the model presented in Loayza (2016), âInformality in the Process of Development and Growth,â Policy Research Working Paper WPS7858, World Bank. The model studies the evolution of the informal sector as it relates to changes in capital, labor force, and productivity, among other economic forces. The toolkit allows users to modify parameters, initial conditions, and assumptions to construct their own scenarios for the analysis of informality in countries and regions around the world.
